The sum of the Yellow Bird's parts make up something more than just a fast Porsche 911.
Porsche chose to develop the technically advanced 450bhp 959 Group B based 911 whereas RUF developed their 496bhp CTR 911, both using standard 911 chassis.
That's where the similarity ends ...
CTR's 3.4 litre twin-turbo flat-six Carrera derived engine, pushes out a staggering 496bhp.
Weighing in at just 1150kgs, the power to weight ratio was 407.8bhp/ton.
Recorded an official top speed of an incredible 214mph on the Nardo Racetrack in Italy.
